Dommer, Hilda N. (29 NOV 1921 - 27 SEP 2010)

 

COLBY -- Hilda N. Dommer, 88, of Colby, passed away Sept. 27, 2010, at the Colonial Center in Colby.

 

Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30 at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. Pastor Mark Neumann will officiate. Visitation will be at the church Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will take place in Colby Memorial Cemetery in Colby following the service.

 

Hilda was born Nov. 29, 1921, to Emma (Hass) and Ewald Wiersig. She was a graduate of Colby High School. Hilda was joined in marriage June 24, 1950, to Leonhard Dommer at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby.

 

Hilda enjoyed gardening, farming and was a sports fan. She was also an involved member of Zion Lutheran Church in Colby.

 

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Leonhard, of Colby; her children, Arlene Dommer of Colby, Ken (Jermaine) Dommer of Green Bay, Karen (Carl) Riske of Neenah, and Ron Dommer of Colby; two grandchildren, Joel (Amanda) Riske of Menomonee Falls and Dan (Jill) Riske of Appleton. Hilda is further survived by her sister, Olga Behrens of Colby.

 

Hilda was preceded in death by her grandson, Logan Riske; brothers, Reinhardt Wiersig and Harold Wiersig; and sisters, Frieda Wiersig and Ella Wellman.

 

Memorials may be donated to the Lutheran Hour Ministries.
