Murphy, Shirley (28 April 1931 - 12 September 2010)
Shirley (Pepper) Murphy, 79, of Sycamore, IL, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.
Shirley Murphy was born April 28, 1932, in West Chicago, IL, the daughter of George E. and Irma (Rowe) Pepper. She married Wilbur Buddinger June 2, 1947, in Sycamore and later married Willie E., Murphy April 14, 1976, in Sycamore.
Shirley was deputy circuit clerk for DeKalb County for 21 years. She later worked for Dr. Thomas Dwyer in Sycamore for 10 years. She enjoyed making crafts, doing crossword puzzles, knitting, sewing and crocheting. She will be missed dearly by her loving family.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Willie Murphy of Sycamore; her children, Eugene "Gene" (Sandy) Buddinger and Coleen Buddinger of Genoa; step-daughter, Rebecca "Becky" (Lloyd) Mann of Bear Creek, AL; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, George A. "Red" (Loreeta) Pepper of Rapid City, SD, and Wayne (Barbara) Pepper of Janesville; sister, Jane Kissling of Neillsville and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Kapfer.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, in Sycamore, IL.
