Zarada, Irene (11 FEB 1956)

 

In an eleven o’clock ceremony performed by Rev. Francis Piekarski at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church on Saturday, Feb. 11, 1956, Irene Zarada became the bride of Bruce Chronister.

 

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Zarada, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and the groom is the son of Mrs. L.G. Chronister of Oklahoma City, Okla.

 

The bride, attired in a floor length dress of white Chantilly lace and net over satin, was given in marriage by her father.  She wore a pearl necklace and carried a bouquet of white carnations.  Her shoulder length veil was fastened to a crown adorned with pearls.

 

The attendants of the bride were attired in strapless gowns of Chantilly lace over white satin set off by red headpieces, red gloves and bouquets of red carnations formed in heart shape.  They wore pearl necklaces, gifts from the bride.

 

Mary Ann Peterson of Milwaukee was her cousin’s maid of honor.  Irene Rodis of Kenosha and Jo Ann Hagen of Stanley, friends of the bride, were bridesmaids.

 

Attending the groom were Raymond Peterson, a cousin, of Brentwood, Wis., as best mand, and Don Peterson, a cousin, of Longwood.

 

At the American Legion Hall a wedding breakfast was served for about 50 immediate relatives and a reception was held in the afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m., attended by approximately 100 guests.

 

The newlyweds left for Borger, Texas where they will reside.

 

The bride is a graduate of the Thorp High School and attended Wis. state College at La Crosse.  She was employed at the Federal Savings and Loan at Chicago, Ill.  The groom attended Shidler High School at Oklahoma City and College at Wichita, Kansas.  He is at present employed by the Phillips Petroleum Co. at Phillips, Texas.

 

Out of town guests were: Dr. and Mrs. Hagen of Stanley, Mrs. Paul Peterson and family of Brentwood, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Bruyette of Rhinelander, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Glowacki, daughters Shirley and Carol of Chicago, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. James Peterson and family of Longwood, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Saborowski and family of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Karlen of Boyd, Mr. and Mrs. Dorval Karlen, Eau Claire, and Mrs. Ted Mogensen of Withee.
