Zank, Barbara (Marriage - 25 July 1959)
St. John’s Lutheran Church in Neillsville was the scene Saturday of the wedding of Miss Barbara Zank of Neillsville and Ronald Shaw of Rt. 3, Neillsville. Parents of the couple are: Mr. and Mrs. Walter Zank and Mr. and Mrs. Everett Shaw. The Rev. Norman Lindloff performed the double ring ceremony. Baskets of white gladioli banked the altar and white satin bows marked the pews.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a floor-length dress of lace over white tulle. The fitted bodice, with sleeves that came to a point at the wrist, was fashioned with a scalloped neckline. A fingertip veil was attached to a crown headpiece. White glads, entwined with green, formed her bridal bouquet.
Miss Carol Zank, in pink, was her maid-of-honor. Miss Darlene Burhop of Owen, a friend, served as bridesmaid. Luann Shaw, sister of the groom, was miniature bride. She wore a dress styled identical to that of the bride.
Arlyn Mills of Owen was his cousin’s bestman. Donald Zank and Verlyn Shaw ushered. The bride’s brother, Wayne Zank, was miniature groom.
"O Perfect Love" and "The Lord’s Prayer" were sung by Arlyn Mills.
One hundred fifty guests attended the reception at the Legion hall, where a dance was held in the evening.
The bride is a graduate of Neillsville High School and has been employed as stenographer at the United Church. The groom is employed in Marshfield.
