Maslowski, Joseph #2 (16 AUG 1902 - 6 MAR 1956)

 

Last rites were conducted by Rev. John Maslowski of St. Casimer Church of St. Paul, Minn., Rev. Francis Piekarski and Rev. C. Chilicki  at St. Hedwig’s Church Saturday morning at 10:00 o’clock for Joseph T. Maslowski who passed away at Victory Memorial Hospital at Stanley, March 6th, 1956.

 

The deceased was born on Aug. 16, 1902 in Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) and resided most of his life in Thorp.  He graduated from Thorp High School and attended Wausau Business Institute.  He was employed as a bookkeeper at Farmers Oil Co-op and Lyman Lumber Co., for several years.  He recently opened the Sports N’ Hobby Shop in Thorp.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers and two sisters.  Those surviving him are his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Maslowski, five brothers, Peter and Frank of Fresno, Calif., Michael of Bellwood, Ill., John and Anton of Thorp;  two sisters, Mrs. Stanley (Mary) Zmyslony of Thorp and Mrs. Edmund (Anna) Fiest, Chicago.

 

Interment took place in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.  Preceding the casket was a group of Holy Name Men who were honorary pallbearers.  Pallbearers were all nephews of the deceased.  They were Edward Maslowski, Francis Fiest, Malin Warcytowa Jr., Frank Koval, Donald Finger and Donald Strohman.

 

Out of town relatives attending were Mr. and Mrs. Michael Maslowski of Bellwood, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Fiest and Francis, Mr. and Mrs. Donald finger, Mrs. Stanley Shafar, Mrs. Edward Kopelak, Mrs. Ronald Dotson, all of Chicago, Rev. John Maslowski, O.M.I., Lawrence Maslowski, Miss Kay Maslowski, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Pilarski, Mr. and Mrs. John Zrolkowski and Rosalle, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Straszinski, Rich and Shirley, Mrs. Leo Serler, all of St. Paul, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Malin Warczytowa, Jr., Miss Katherine Warczytowa, of Milwaukee, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Donald Strohman and Miss Patricia Maslowski, of Marshfield, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Frank Koval of Ashland, Wis., Mrs. Sophie Stszeszynski of Abbotsford, Wis.
