Morse, LaVine (18 JUNE 1949)

The Rev. John C. Langholz read the service on Saturday, June 18, at Trinity Lutheran church for the marriage of Miss LaVine Morse and Leo Pickerign. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Morse of Loyal, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Pickerign of Wheeler.

For her wedding, the bride chose a gown of seaspray satin. The fitted bodice, which had a sheer drop shoulder yoke and Queen Mary collar, was trimmed with seed pearls and iridescent bugle beads. Her full skirt was draped from a beaded peplum at the waistline and ended in a cathedral train. A tiara of shirred illusion, outlined with seed pearls and beads, held her chapel veil of illusion. She carried a cascade bouquet of red roses and white chrysanthemums.

Bridal aides were Misses Carole Hendrickson and Juanita Du Roy of Eau Claire and Mrs. Donald Feyen of Menomonie.

Miss Hendrickson chose a gown of lavender taffeta, fashioned with a high neckline and short sleeves. Mrs. Feyen wore a gown of green taffeta, styled with a low neckline and bustle, and Miss Du Roy’s gown was of yellow net, with a high neckline and short sleeves. They carried identical bouquets of carnations.

Mr. Pickerign was attended by his two brothers, Darrell of Eau Claire and Bruce of Chippewa Falls and by Donald Feyen of Memomonie.
