Meier, Annette Fay (Marriage - 19 September 1959)

Miss Annette Fay Meier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Meier, Rt. 1, Neillsville, and Gayle A. Schoengarth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schoengarth of Neillsville, exchanged nuptial vows Saturday in a ceremony at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Neillsville. The Rev. Norman Lindloff performed the double ring ceremony before an altar banked with baskets of pink and white gladioli.

Miss Meier approached the altar on the arm of her father, attired in a floor length dress of yellow Chantilly lace over taffeta. She carried a white orchid surrounded by yellow rose buds and lilies of the valley.

Miss Bonnie Schoengarth, sister of the groom, was her maid of honor.  Bridesmaids were Mrs. Frederick Dux, Mrs. Harris Schoengarth, and Miss Christine Meihak. The attendants wore ballerina length dresses in shrimp and blue, and carried heart shaped bouquets of blue and white roses.

Ronald Meier of Crystal Lake, Ill., attended the groom as bestman.  His groomsmen were Frederick Dux, Harris Schoengarth and Arthur Meier, Jr., all of Neillsville. Dale Meihak, Neillsville, and Morris Johnson, Cudahy, were the ushers.

A nephew of the bride, Dennis Meier, was ringbearer; and Linda Davis, a cousin of the groom, was flower girl.

Nuptial music was played by Victor Lehman.

A wedding reception for 150 guests was held at St. John’s Lutheran School.

Both the bride and groom attended Neillsville High School.
