Pieper, Genevieve Annette (Marriage - 2 January 1960)
St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal was the setting for the marriage of Miss Genevieve Annette Pieper and George A. Bentzler, Jr., Saturday morning, January 2.
The Rev. Norbert King officiated at the nuptial mass for the daughter of Mrs. Sophia Pieper of Milwaukee, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Bentzler, Sr., of Loyal. Music was presented by St. Anthony’s choir.
The bride wore a gown of white taffeta, styled with long, pointed sleeves and a chapel train. Her fingertip veil was caught to a crown of pearls and her bouquet was pink and white carnations and pink roses.
Her matron-of-honor was Mrs. Garland Bentzler of Milwaukee. Her floor length gown was pink net over taffeta. A short veil was attached to a crown-like headdress. Her flowers were pink and white carnations.
The groom chose his brother, Garland Bentzler of Milwaukee, as his best man.
Dinner and supper were served in the church hall, and a reception was held in the party room of Braun’s bowling alley.
Both the bride and groom attended St. Anthony’s School in Loyal. Both are in Milwaukee. They will live at 3417 A. W. Michigan, Milwaukee.
Guests from Hartford, Milwaukee, and City Point attended the wedding.
