Eidsvold, Wisconsin Epitome (1 March 1894)

 

Matt Kass has been ill but is now on the gain.

 

The youngest child of Geo. Eaton is suffering from a severe form of cankered sore throat.

 

The interesting Drama "Down by the sea" will be rendered by the Eidsvold Dramatic club in a few days.

 

Coasting is becoming the leading pastime of this place, parties being formed nearly every night in the week.

 

Mrs. Drake Jr. is paying her mother Mrs. Turner, near Cadott a visit.

 

As quarterly meeting will be held at Stanley next Sunday, there will be no services here.

 

Why Sterling should have a large new depot, while Thorp has but a poor one, and Eidsvold none at all is indeed a conundrum.

 

Since our last writing, Elmer Warner has sold his house and two acres of land to John M. Warner for the sum of $300.  Elmer has purchased the John Flaaden place of R. Warden, and (missing portion).
