Hendricks, Ann M. (15 AUG 1920 - 14 NOV 2010)

THORP -- Ann M. Hendricks, 90, of Thorp died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen. There will be no services. Interment of cremains will take place in Old St. Hedwig's Catholic Cemetery in Thorp at a later date.

Ann Marie Abramczuk was born Aug. 15, 1920, in the town of Reseburg, rural Thorp, the daughter of Andrew and Mary (Cieciora) Abramczuk. Ann was united in marriage to Anton "Tony" Hendricks on June 17, 1939, in Iowa. They farmed in the town of Mead, rural Thorp. She later worked at the Farmer's Store in Thorp as the main cashier and bookkeeper. In the fall of 1959, she became employed as a secretary at Thorp High School and worked there until her retirement.

She is survived by six children, Brian (Joan) Hendricks of Owen, Peggy (Ron) Benzschawel of West Dundee, Ill., Roger Hendricks of Greenwood, Sandra (Cliff) Schofield of Greenwood, Bonnie (Ray) Hollinger of York, Pa., and Mark Hendricks of Rockford, Ill.; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony, on Oct. 26, 2010.
