Mravik, Joseph "Turbo Joe" A. (28 June 1954 - 1 November 2010)

 

Joseph "Turbo Joe" A. Mravik, age 56, of the Township of Chelsea, Medford, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2010, at Memorial Health Center, Medford.  The funeral was held on Thursday, November 4, at 11:00 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church in Whittlesey, WI, with Rev. Randal Jeppesen officiating.

 

Pallbearers were: Andrew Ernst, Aaron Moss, Gordon Lekie and Donnie Neubauer.  Visitation took place at Hemer Funeral Home, in Medford, on Wednesday, November 3, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., and also at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Thursday.

 

Joe was born on June 28, 1954 in Chippewa Falls, WI.  He received his education at Lublin elementary schools and was a 1973 graduate of Gilman High School.  He was united in marriage to Rita Moss on August 2, 1975 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Thorp.

 

After his education, he farmed in the Lublin area and did trapping.  For most of his life he worked in the woods as a logger.  He also drove semi tractor/trailer for Mueller Bros. for a period of time.  He enjoyed hunting and his family.  He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Churches of Chelsea and Whittlesey.

 

Survivors include his wife, Rita, of Chelsea; two sons: Lynn Joe Mravik of Chelsea and Ryan (Heather) Mravik of Medford; and one daughter, Lisa (Bill) Sorensen of Chelsea; four grandchildren: Tasia Mravik, and Trey, Cole and Kade Williams, all of Medford; one sister, Betty Turner of Kenosha; and one brother, Walter Mravik of Lublin.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, William Mravik; his mother, Dorothy Markowski; one sister, Joanne Mravik; and one child in infancy.
