Fradette, Edna (13 January 1876 - 12 March 1960)

 

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home for Mrs. Herb Fradette, 84, of Neillsville, who died Saturday at the Sunset Nursing Home in Fairchild.  The Rev. Virgil Holmes of the Neillsville Methodist Church officiated.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

The former Edna Raymond was born January 13, 1876, in the Town of Weston, the daughter of the late Eben and Charlotte (Tuttle) Raymond.  She received her education in rural schools of Clark County and was a graduate of the Neillsville High School and its teachers training department.

 

She taught school for several years prior to her marriage on September 23, 1908, to the late Herb Fradette, who died in 1958.  They farmed for many years in the Town of Grant and retired in 1947.  For the last year and one-half she made her home in Fairchild.

 

Surviving are three children, Mrs. Willard (Carol) Johnson, Marshfield; Herbert R. Fradette, Eau Claire; and Mrs. Frederick (June) Wendt, Neillsville.  Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. Ross (Maude) Paulson, Neillsville, and seven grandchildren.

 

She was a charter member of the Christie Methodist Church.

 

Pallbearers were Everett Shaw, Glen Mills, Lee Mills, George Krause, Calvin Mills, and Alvin Wendt.

 

Mrs. Virgil Holmes sang two hymns, "Jesus Lover of My Soul" and In the Sweet By and By."

Johnson, Chicago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Willard Johnson, Marshfield; Mrs. Merton Holt and Mrs. Ethel Holt, Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Stuve and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar nelson, Fairchild; and Clair Wendt, Eau Claire.
