Pine Valley Township (31 March 1960)

Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Tews and family moved last week into the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tews, in Pine Valley.  They are considering the construction of a new home in Neillsville this year.

Charles Shramek, who makes his home with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Lawson, is planning to visit his brothers, Ladd, Bill and Jerry Shramek in Chicago, and his sister, Mrs. Fred Krumpeck, in Paris, Ill. this weekend.  He had been visiting Mr. and Mrs. Roy West in Marshall during the last month.

Mrs. Emma Zank, who visited relatives in Minnesota, returned home Saturday, her son, Louis, and daughter, Mrs. Leona Evanson, brought her home.  Mr. and Mrs. Albert "Lefty" Zank and Jerry of Chippewa Falls visited his mother and with other relatives last weekend.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zank entertained at their home Tuesday evening in honor of her birthday.  Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Paul McKinley, Mr. and Mrs. Elwyn Baker and Walter Spencer.

The Silver Crest Mothers club will meet Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock.

Mr. and Mrs. John Flitter and children of Maplewood, Minn. were guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Meridith, last weekend. Guests there Sunday also included Mr. and Mrs. Roland Jenni and children and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Meredith and children.
