Kuester, Lola (Marriage - 23 April 1960)

Miss Lola Kuester of Greenwood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Kuester of Greenwood, was given in marriage by her father, to Morris Mickelson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Mickelson of Cadott, April 23, in a double ring ceremony.  The Rev. Orval Egbert, pastor of the United Church of Christ in Greenwood, officiated.

The bride wore a white embroidered gown, with a white fingertip veil. She carried a bouquet of orchid colored orchids and yellow rosebuds on a white Bible.

The maid of honor was Ione Emerson of Milwaukee, who wore white organdy waltz-length formal and carried yellow carnations.  The bridesmaids attired the same as the maid of honor, were Nancy Luedtke of Chippewa Falls and Mary Jean Mickelson of Cadott.

The bestman was David Emerson of Milwaukee.  The ushers were Jerrold and Vernon Kuester of Greenwood.

Eldore and Elmer Humke sang, "I Love You Truly" and "The Lord’s prayer", accompanied by Mrs. Alvin Albert.

A reception was held in the church basement and a dinner was given at the home of the bride’s parents.  Approximately 250 were present.

Yellow chrysanthemums decorated the altar of the church.  The dining hall was decorated with white wedding bells and orchid, yellow and white streamers.

Both the bride and groom are employed in Milwaukee, where they will make their home.
