Barnes, Kathleen (Marriage - 7 May 1960)

 

Miss Kathleen Barnes, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. R. L. Barnes of Greenwood, and Ralph J. Landini, son of Mrs. Mary Landini of Willard, were married Saturday in a double ring ceremony at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. L. V. Barnes an uncle of the bride, officiated, and the Rev. Edward A. Hartung, pastor assisted.

 

The bride wore a floor-length gown of silk organza with a fitted bodice.  The neckline was appliquéd with sequin lace, and had short sleeves and matching gauntlets.

 

The matron of honor was Mrs. Irvin Hoesly of Brookfield, a sister of the bride; and the bridesmaid was Miss Dorothy Kebl of Greenwood.

 

Bestman was Louis Landini, a brother of the groom.  Ushers were Irvin Hoesly of Brookfield and Alvin Kaltinger of Willard.  Thomas Hoesly of Brookfield, a nephew of the bride, was ring bearer; and Candace Kaltinger of Willard, a niece of the groom, was flower girl.

 

A wedding dinner was held at St. Mary’s Hall, with 175 present.

 

The couple is honeymooning in Canada. They plan to return May 16, to make their home at Willard.

 

Both the bride and groom attended Greenwood High School and the bride went to a beauty school in Eau Claire.  She is employed in a beauty salon in Neillsville and he is employed in Willard.

 

Out of town relatives and friends attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Perko and son of Lac du Flambeau; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Perko and daughters of Davenport, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hribar and son, and Richard Landini of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Barnes, and Mrs. Robert Burel, Cresco, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. George Volk and children of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Perry Volk of Loyal; and Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Hoesly and sons of Brookfield.
