Feldbruegge, Donald Henry (February 6, 1939 - November 9, 2010)

 

Donald Henry Feldbruegge, 71, died at home in Fitchburg on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010.

 

He was born on a dairy farm in the town of Mayville on February 6, 1939, the son of Henry and Celia (Heindl) Feldbruegge. 

 

Donald attended St. Louis School and graduated from Dorchester High School in 1957.

 

He attended the University of Wisconsin, graduating with a bachelor of science degree in 1961. Several years later, he went to graduate school at the University of Wisconsin and graduate with a master’s degree in science, in 1970.

 

He joined the clinical laboratory staff at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals in 1970 and was employed there as a biochemist for 32 years before retiring in 2002. 

 

Donald married Sandra Reichel on August 3, 1985.

 

Donald is survived by his wife; three step-sons, Shawn Christensen, Leif (Rebekah) Hansen, and Lars Hansen; a step-daughter, Amy (Howard) Waddell; four grandchildren; his mother; one brother Roger Lee (Dorothy) Feldbruegge; and one sister, Kristine Mary Seefeld. 

 

Donald was preceded in death by his father and two sisters, Diane Marie and Joan Ellen Feldbruegge. 


Services will be private.
