Kolaczkowski, Ignac "Charles" #2 (20 JAN 1878 - 11 JUN 1957)

 

Last rites were conducted by Rev. Constance Chilicki at St. Hedwig’s Church Friday, June 14, 1957 at ten o’clock for Charles Ignacz Kolaczkowski, 79, retired Thorp farmer, residing in the city, who passed away Tuesday, June 11th, 1957 at the Stanley Victory Hospital, death being cause by a stroke.

 

The deceased was born in Poland on Jan. 20, 1878.  He came to the United States in 1881 and resided at Buffalo, N.Y., before coming to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) about the year 1902.  He was united in marriage at St. Hedwig’s Church here to Frances Ratajczak on Sept. 22, 1903.  They farmed near Thorp for many years and recently retired.

 

He is survived by his wife, Frances, three sons, Frank and Walter of Thorp, and John of Chicago, one daughters, Mrs. Emily Trybowski of Chicago, one brother, Leon Kolaczkowski of Chicago, and two sisters, Mrs. Stella Liszewski of Chicago and Mrs. Pauline Barski of Thorp; also four grandchildren, Dolores Poleski, Chicago, Raymond Kolaczkowski, Holcombe, and Barbara and Jerome Novak, Chicago.

 

Burial was made in St. Hedwig’s New Cemetery.  Pallbearers were John Liszewski, Walter Kryzanowski, Martin Penk, Victor Zielinski, Anton Cieciora and Joe Dobzanski.
