Gostomski, Rita (28 SEP 1957)

Rita Gostomski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gostomski, became the bride of Gerald Haas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Haas, all of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), in a double ring ceremony performed by Father Francis Piekarski at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church here at ten o’clock Saturday, Sept. 28th, 1957.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was attired in a floor length gown with long sleeves of lace and v-shaped neckline.  Her wedding bouquet was of lilies of the valley centered with an orchid.

Edna Gustafson of Boy was maid of honor.  Adeline Jalowitz, Lublin, Phyllis Gostomski, sister of the bride, and Justine Koplia, Withee, served as bridesmaids.  They wore strapless chiffon dresses of peach, lilac, blue and rose color, respectively, and picture hats.  They carried bouquets of white baby mums centered with colored mums to match their dresses.

Richard Gostomski, brother of the bride, served as best man and groomsmen were Richard Haas, Wayne Haas and David Haas, brothers and cousins of the groom.

The wedding reception followed the ceremony and dinner and supper was served to 300 guests.

After a wedding trip to Copper Falls, Wis., the hapy couple will return to Thorp to reside.
