Kilty, Sharon Kay (Marriage - 27 August 1960)

Miss Sharon Kay Kilty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald E. Kilty of Rt. 1 Unity, became the bride of Richard Allen Kops, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Kops, also of Rt. 1, Unity, at services performed August 27, in Trinity Lutheran Church at Unity, Wisconsin by the Rev. Robert Langseth.

The bride approached the altar on the arm of her father. She wore a floor length gown of Chantilly lace and nylon tulle, decked with tiers of nylon tulle lace, a bouffant skirt and Queen Anne collar. She carried a bouquet of ‘mums and carnations.

Attending as matron of honor was Mrs. Evelyn Kops of Rt. 1, Unity; and her bridesmaid was Miss Sandra Kilty, a sister.  Gerald Kops served as bestman; Roger Kilty of Unity was groomsman; and Wayne Hendrickson of Unity and Elroy Dietman of Spencer were ushers.

A reception for 150 guests was held in the church basement.

Following a trip into southern Michigan, the couple will make their home in Colby.  The groom is employed in Colby, where he was graduated from high school.  The bride also attended Colby High.
