Dolenc, Jeanne Marie (Marriage - 1 October 1960)

Thomas Walls Steiner of West Allis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Steiner of Loyal, was married to Miss Jeanne Marie Dolenc, also of West Allis, at ceremonies in St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in that city, October 1.  The Rev. Aloysius Bambir performed the ceremony.

The bride chose a gown of Chantilly lace with fitted bodice and long sleeves that came to a point at her wrists.  Her Sabrina neckline was trimmed with sequins.  A bouffant skirt of Chantilly lace was fashioned with a chapel length train.  She wore a fingertip illusion veil and crown of sequins and seed pearls, and carried a bouquet of Amazon lilies centered with pale pink roses.

Mrs. Eugene Cichon of Milwaukee was her friend’s matron of honor.  Bridesmaids were Mrs. Corrine Brown of Wet Allis and Diane Schieffer of Milwaukee, a niece.  Their gowns were of romance blue organza, street length, and feathered and matching flower head pieces.  They carried fireside baskets filled with white carnations and red roses.

The groom chose Eugene Cichon of Milwaukee as his bestman.  Groomsmen were Terry Stutte of Franksville and Thomas Schneider of Milwaukee.  Carolyn Schieffer of Milwaukee, a niece of the bride, was flower girl.

A wedding breakfast, lunch and buffet were held in the church hall.

The bride is a legal secretary in Milwaukee.  She is a graduate of Holy Angel’s academy in that city.  The groom, a graduate of Loyal High School, is a tool and dies apprentice in a West Allis firm.

They will make their home at 868 South 74th Street, in West Allis.

Attending the wedding from away were: Mr. and Mrs. Claude Steiner, parents of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Stutte, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Stutte and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bertz, all of Loyal; Wayne Kelty of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Tolkan of Merrillan; Mr. and Mrs. Marion Scharf of Bangor, Mich.; Miss Shirley Scharf of Battle Creek, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kuncl and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Scharf, all of Lomira; David Steiner of Park Falls; Mrs. Cecelia Suhi of Long Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Steven Faveiko of Waterford; and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Suhi of Skokie, Ill.
