Litten, George (3 FEB 1873 - 11 AUG 1952)

 

Funeral services for George Litten, 79, will be held in the Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14th.  The Rev. Virgil Nulton of Neillsville will officiate.  He died in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, with a heart ailment.  Burial will be in the Beaver Township Cemetery.

 

Mr. Litten was born at Clay City, Ill., Feb. 3, 1873.  For several years he worked on a threshing outfit in North Dakota.  He was married to Leota Piquet Aug. 1926.  His last place of residence was the farm on which he had lived for 20 years.

 

He is survived by his wife and 8 children, Roy Litten, Harvey, Ill., Mitchell Litten, Maywood, Ill.; Ethel Litten, Red Wing, Minn.; Mrs. Leslie (Irene) Carrier, Fort Dodge, Iowa; Mrs. Kenneth (Velma) Prock, Rockford, Ill.; Mrs. George (Darlene) Pomputis, Chicago; Mrs. Dave (Veryl) Lucas, Milwaukee; and Allen, at home.  Five grandchildren survive him.  One daughter preceded him in death.
