Olson, Judith Ann (30 SEP 1961)

Mr. and Mrs. Russell Stollfuss are making their home at 703 Congress St., Ripon.  Their marriage took place Saturday, Sept. 30, 1961, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Dorchester.

The Rev. F. H Sprengler heard the vows of Miss Judith Ann Olson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Olson of Abbotsford, and Russell George Stollfuss, son of Mr. and Mrs. Georg Stollfuss of Ripon.  During the ceremony performed at 3 o’clock, Herbert Juneau, organist and soloist, sang The Lord’s Prayer" and "Wedding Prayer."

The bride wore a gown of rose point lace designed with a fitted bodice, a scoop neckline, long tapered sleeves and a floor length bouffant skirt.  A crystal crown held her fingertip veil.  From her colonial style bouquet of red roses and white carnations, there were showers of red rose buds tied to white ribbon streamers.

Attending her as matron of honor was her sister, Mrs. Herbert Schilling of Colby.  Another sister, Miss Margo Olson, and a cousin of the groom, Mrs. Edward Scoville, both of Ripon, were bridesmaids.

The attendants were all dressed alike in street length frocks of cobalt blue velveteen.  They were made with fitted bodices, scoop necklines, elbow length sleeves, a velvet midriff and a flat bow at the back.  They all wore fancy braid crowns with aurora borealis trim and short cobalt blue veils.  They carried colonial bouquets of cobalt blue and white carnations.

A reception at the home of the bride’s parents followed and supper for about 175 guests was served at the church hall.  In the evening, a wedding dance was held at Riverview Ballroom, Stratford.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Stollfuss left on a honeymoon trip to the southern part of the state.

The bride is employed at Ripon Foods, Inc., and the groom is employed at Landval Bros., Inc., as a mechanic.

Guests at the wedding were from Colby, Spencer, Ripon, Wausau, Stratford, Edgar, Neenah, Markeshan, Ripon, Pickette, Mosinee, Fenwood, Dorchester, Kingston and Abbotsford.
