Maple Ridge (9 September 1938)

 

Claire Davis accompanied by Mrs. Otto Schmidtke and daughters, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Miller visited with O. Schmidtke at a Milwaukee hospital and also attended the State Fair, Sunday. 

 

Mr. and Mrs. Silas Foemmel moved from Chili unto the Adolph Foemmel farm, Friday. 

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Dorst and children, Christie, spent Friday evening at the R. C. Miller home.

 

Mrs. Adolph Foemmel and son, Paul have taken over the restaurant in Chili and will operate it for a short time.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Russel Roehl entertained Mr. and Mrs. H. Nebel, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Lee, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lindow and daughters at Sunday Dinner.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lindow and daughters and Darlene Willer were Sunday dinner guests of A. Foemmel’s.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bandt Sr. accompanied Harvey Bandt’s of Prairie Farm to Ripon, Friday after being called upon the death of their grandson, Wesley Happe.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Wenzel Lee and son, Roger were guests Sunday in the E. W. Lee home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Wm Bandt Jr. and son, Melvin, Mr. and Mrs. C. Lindow and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lindow and daughter, Roy Jennings, Ervin Bandt, Alvin Walter, and Glenn Roehl, and Ethelyn Lindow are among those from here who attended the funeral of Wesley Happe of Ripon Sunday.
