Carl, Lawrence (17 April 1935 - 18 January 1961)


Funeral services were held Saturday in Nekoosa for Lawrence A. Carl 25, who died January 18 at his home in Nekoosa. The Rev. L. H. Goetz officiated at services from the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Burial was made in Riverside Cemetery.


Larry, as he was known to friends here, was born April 17, 1935, in Wisconsin Rapids and had lived his lifetime in the Nekoosa area.  He was an employee of the paper mill there.


He is survived by his wife; two daughters by a previous marriage; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Carl; and a brother, Donald Carl, all of Nekoosa.


Among those attending the servicers from this community were: Mr. and Mrs. Gus Carl and Florence, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Dux, Rt. 2, Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Carl, Alfred Carl, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Ray, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Dux, Mrs. Gordon Thoma, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Karnitz, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Karnitz, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Carl, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mitte, and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Carl, all of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Carl and Mrs. Ida Carl, Greenwood; and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Voss, Loyal.


Other relatives attending included Harland Carl of Neenah and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Borde of Edgerton.
