Merrillan, Wisconsin Area (2 February 1961)

 

Albert Gohde of Exland is visiting at Peter Reinarts.  He is an uncle of Mrs. Reinart.

 

Will Nemitz came home from the hospital and is staying at the Everett Frost home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Duxbury of Alma Center were Sunday afternoon visitors at the Everett Frost’s.

 

Miss Darlene Anger spent a week with her parents between semesters. The girls have moved into an apartment in West Allis.

 

Sunday dinner guests at the George Cormican home were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Cooper of Black River Falls, and supper guests were Mr. and Mrs. Norman Heller and Stevie.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Graves of Neillsville were Saturday evening visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Gibson Gile.

 

Milo Burge of La Crosse spent the weekend at the Harry Thompson home.

 

Hugh Sharp and Mannie Peterson of rural Disco visited at the Harry Risch home one day last week.

 

Mrs. Roger Helwig and Sandra of rural Taylor spent Monday at Sheridan Gilbertson’s.  Other visitors during the week were: Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Gilbertson of Black River Falls, Mrs. and Mrs. Dave Payne and Mr. and Mrs. John Gard.

 

Tuesday, Mrs. Francis Johnson and Mrs. Robert Linder accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Mattson to West Salem to spend the day with Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Erickson and help celebrate Melanie’s fifth birthday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Glen Stuve of River Falls spent the weekend with the Gib Giles and the Stuves in Humbird.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gile of Wisconsin Rapids were guests of Mrs. Ray Gile Sunday.

 

Mrs. Allen Cormican and children of Racine are staying at the S. Gilbertson home.

 

Mrs. Peter Reinart spent Wednesday afternoon with her sister, Mrs. William Roningen and family.  Mrs. Roningen is convalescing from an operation she underwent in La Crosse.

 

The Robert Olson family, Oliver Smith family, Ellsworth Skaar family and Harold Downer family attended a party at eh Henry Tande home Saturday evening.

 

Mrs. Victor Smith, Mrs. Robert Olson and Mrs. Oliver Smith called on Mrs. Larry Anger in the Neillsville Hospital Sunday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Jones of Hixton were Sunday afternoon and evening visitors at the L. Magnusson’s.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Gene Amidon of Alma Center were Sunday afternoon visitors at Vilas Smith’s Saturday evening.  Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hayden and David visited there, also.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Gearing, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gjerseth and Carole and Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Gjerseth and daughters, of rural Alma Center, Vernon Gjerseth and son David, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Eggen, and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Peasley of Snow Creek, and Mr. and Mrs. George Gjerseth enjoyed a family dinner at the Helmer Gjerseth home Sunday.
