Funeral services for August Fricke, 84, were held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at 9 a.m. Monday February 9, 1953, with burial in the parish cemetery.

The Rev. N. E. King officiated at the funeral services.

Pall bearers were Bert Brown, Ed Kreuser, August Witt, Arthur Schuette, Joe Wendel, and John Goetz.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. William (Melva) Martusis, Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. William (Arwilda) Loch, Watkins, Minn., two sons, George, Loyal and Oscar, Eau Claire; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.

Those from out of town who attended the funeral were Mrs. William Loch, Watkins, Minn.; Mrs. William Martusis, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Fricke, Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Kieth Krier, Minneapolis; and Mrs. Robert Rossman and son George of Eau Claire.
