Washington School (Dissolved - 1961)
Following a hearing Tuesday night, the County school committee ordered the Washington School district in the Town of Grant dissolved and attached to the Neillsville District.
The Washington School is located about three miles east and two miles south of Neillsville. Currently it has an enrollment of eight. Velda Levandusky is the teacher.
The district’s equalized valuation in 1959 was $381,900, according to County Supt. Leonard Morley. He said that it is anticipated that the school will be closed.
