Bobbe, Kay #2 (26 JAN 1963)

 

Miss Kay Bobbe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bobbe of Medford, and Marvin Broeske, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Broeske of Colby, were united in marriage Saturday evening, Jan. 26, 1963 at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby.

 

Marriage vows were repeated in a double ring service read by the Rev. F. H. Sprengler of Dorchester at 7 o’clock.

 

Herbert Juneau of Pittsville was organist during the candle light ceremony, and sang "The Lord’s Prayer" and "The Wedding Prayer."

 

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, appeared in a floor length gown of Chantilly lace and net with long, tapered sleeves.  The fingertip bridal veil fell in soft folds from a star shaped crown.  She carried a crescent shaped bouquet of white carnations.

 

Miss Susan Juneau of Wausau, a friend of the bride, and Miss Linda Bobbe of Medford, a sister of the bride, the attendants, were attired alike in red velvet street length gowns fashioned with bell skirts and circle necklace.

 

The color scheme of red and white was carried out in their bouquets of carnations, as well as in the corsages worn by the two mothers.

 

Donald Paul of Abbotsford and Lester Bobbe of Medford, a brother of the brid,e completed the wedding party.

 

Dennis Kieser of Abbotsford and David Markus of Colby seated the guests at the church.

 

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the VFW Hall in Medford.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Broeske are making their home at Abbotsford in the H.J. Amacher apartment on Butternut Street.

 

The groom, a 1958 graduate of the Abbotsford High School, attended Wisconsin State College at Eau Claire.  He is employed as an attendant at Felker’s Service Station in Abbotsford.  His bride attended the Abbotsford High School and the Milwaukee Accredited School of Beauty Culture, Eau Clare.  She was employed at Wausau and at Marie’s Beauty Salon at Schofield.

 

Guests attending the wedding were from Libertyville, Ill., Bellevue, Iowa, Wausau, Abbotsford and Colby.
