Beaver Township Center Homemakers (20 April 1961)

 

The Beaver Center Homemakers met Saturday at the home of Mrs. Russell Johnson. The creed was given and members responded to roll call by giving the names of items that should be in every home medicine chest.

 

The minutes of the last meeting and the treasurer’s report were given.  Mrs. Rene Herdrich and Mrs. Gerhardt Scheel reported on the spring council meeting.

 

Election of officers was held with the following elected: president, Mrs. Rene Herdrich; vice-president, Mrs. Harold Cook; secretary, Mrs. Albert Hardrath; treasurer, Mrs. Alfred Schultz; health chairman, Mrs. Gerhardt Scheel; sunshine committee chairman, Mrs. Reinhold Wucherpfennig.

 

National Home Demonstration week, May 1 to 6, was discussed.  Mrs. Hardrath was appointed to make a poster on nutrition to be displayed during that week.

 

Achievement Day, June 1, was also discussed. The meeting will be held at the high school and the dinner at St. Anthony’s hall.  Members were asked to make reservations for the dinner by May 1.  Mrs. Gilbert Loos will have charge of reservations.

 

The meeting ended with the prayer creed. A lunch was served by the hostess. The May meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. (missing portion) .
