Rothamer, Shirley Ann (17 FEB 1955)

Miss Shirley Ann Rothamer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Rothamer, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) , and Ronald Domine, son of Mr. and Mrs. Maniual Domine, Loyal, were married in a ceremony performed by the Rev. Fr. N. E. King in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Thursday morning, Feb. 17, 1955.

Alternate ruffles of net and lace over satin fashioned the skirt of the strapless formal worn by the bride.  A net bodice with rhinestone trim and nylon lace jacket with long, pointed sleeves completed the gown.  Her fingertip veil of rhinestone trimmed illusion was attached to a satin headdress.  She carried a cascade bouquet of red roses and calla lilies.

She chose for her maid of honor, her cousin, Miss Sharon Ann Poehnlein of Medford.  Miss Poehnlein wore a gown of cotillion blue fashioned with a strapless bodice of nylon net over taffeta worn with a lace bolero.  She wore a sweetheart hat and gauntlets of matching net.  Her rhinestone choker and earrings were gifts of the bride.  She carried a bouquet of white and pink tinted carnations.  Serving as bridesmaids were her cousin, Miss Marcia Danen, Stetsonville, and Miss Judy Weyhmiller, Loyal.  With their shrimp colored gowns, styled similarly to that of the maid of honor, they wore sweetheart hats of net and net gauntlets.  Their flowers were white and blue tinted carnations.  Their rhinestone chokers and earrings were gifts of the bride.

The groom chose for his attendants, his cousin, Edward Schwellenbach, Christie, to serve as best man, and Gary Rothamer, Loyal, brother of the bride, and Ernest Strey, Spencer, cousin of the groom, as groomsmen.

Delmane Schwellenbach, Christie, cousin of the groom, and Lee Rothamer, Loyal, brother of the bride, ushered.

Barbara Jean Domine, sister of the groom, was flower girl.  She wore a white gown of ruffled net over taffeta, a white nylon net hat, and carried red roses and calla lilies.

The ring bearer was Alan Rothamer, brother of the bride.

The bride’s mother wore a blue-gray suit with pink trim, and navy accessories, and the groom’s mother wore a navy knit suit with red accessories.  Their corsages were red roses and pink tinted carnations.

A dinner was served to 100 guests in the dining room at St. Anthony’s Church and a reception was given at the bride’s home.

Both the bride and groom attended the Loyal High School.

They will make their home at Janesville where Mr. Domine is employed by the Fischer Body Works.

Out of town guests were from Milwaukee, Christie, Medford, Stetsonville, Neillsville, Augusta, Spencer and Granton.
