Smith, LaVade (30 APR 1955)

 

The marriage of Miss LaVade Smith, daughter of James A. Smith, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) , Route 2, to Edward B. Bremen, Coatsville, Pa., son of Benjamin Bremen of Broomall, Pa., took place Saturday April 30, 1955 at 8 p.m.

 

The ceremony was held in the study of Rabbi Harry B. Kellman, Spiritual leader of Beth El Synagogue in Camden, N.J.

 

The bride chose a street length beige taffeta dress with rhinestones and beading around a scoop neckline.  Her evening slippers matched her dress and she wore a baby blue flowered hat with matching gloves.  She carried a colonial bouquet of yellow rose buds surrounded by white baby’s breath.

 

Mrs. Jack Robinson, Philadelphia, sister of the bridegroom was matron of honor and the only attendant.  She wore a navy blue dress with white beading on the collar.  Her gloves and hat were white and she carried a bouquet of pink rose buds and white baby’s breath.

 

Mrs. Bremen is a graduate of Loyal High School, class of 1951, and has been employed by the American Stores in Coatsville.  Her mother was the former Verona Oberbillig.

 

Mr. Bremen attended Camden High and received his high school diploma while serving with the Armed Forces.  He is presently employed by the Veteran Administration Hospital in Coatsville.

 

Following a reception at Cinelli’s County House in Camden, the bridal couple honeymooned in Atlantic City, N.J.  They are at home now at 587 E. chestnut St., Coatsville, Pa.
