Braun, Mary Ann  (10 OCT 1873-14 JUNE 1953)

 

Mrs. Alois J. Braun, 79, died at her home in Loyal Sunday at 6:15 a.m., June 14. She had been a Loyal resident for almost half a century.

 

Funeral services were held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at 9:30 Wednesday morning. A General Rosary was conducted at the Myre Funeral Home Tuesday evening at 8 o’clock.

 

Mrs. Braun, the former Mary Ann Berens, was born at Jefferson, Oct. 10, 1873. She lived as a child at Caston. Since her marriage to Alois J. Braun at Loyal, Nov. 25, 1903, this has been her continuous home.

 

She was a member of the Catholic Knights and Altar Society of St. Anthony’s Church.

 

Her husband died in 1935 and a son Roman also preceded her in death.

 

She is survived by a son Herb, of Loyal, and three daughters, Dorothy Braun, at home, Gertrude Braun, Downey, Ill., and Mrs, Alfred (Clara) Mueller, Chicago; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. J. J. Sala, Stevens Point, and Mrs. E. J. Ressler, Beloit; and one brother Matt Berens, Cashton.
