Wenzel, Minnie (29 MAY 1866 - 12 AUG 1955)

Graveside services were conducted for Mrs. Louis Wenzel, 89, on Tuesday afternoon of this week at St. Anthony’s Cemetery by the Rev. Fr. N. E. King.

Mrs. Wenzel died last Friday at the home of her son in Random Lake following an accident in which she fractured her arm.  Death was caused ten days afterwards by the shock connected with the mishap.

Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Random Lake on Tuesday with the Rev. Fr. Frank Kovac officiating.

Minnie Wenzel was born May 29, 1866, and was united in marriage to Louis Wenzel in 1884 at Appleton, Wis.  The couple came to Loyal (Clark Co., Wis. in 1898, Mr. Wenzel being employed in a lumber mille here.  He passed away in 1918 and the following years Mrs. Wenzel left to reside with her children at Hartford and Columbus, Ohio.  She returned to Loyal frequently to visit friends.

Surviving her is a daughter, Mrs. F. H. (Marie) Blaisdell, Columbus, Ohio; two sons, Edward of Hartford, and Louis of Random Lake, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  Besides her husband, two daughters preceded her in death, Mrs. Ed (Leona) Winterhalter and Mrs. Mike (Ella) Robel, Waukesha.
