Neillsville, Wisconsin Locals (29 June 1961)

 

Mrs. Lawrence Henderlong and children, Pat and Mike, of Detroit, Mich. will spend next weekend with Mr. and Mrs. George Nielsen and family.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Burr of Milwaukee will spend next weekend at the Ray Burr home.  Dinner guests next Sunday will include Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Kronberger and family and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Burr and family of Neillsville, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Burr of Milwaukee and Dolores Burr of Marshfield.

 

Most of the unpaved streets of Neillsville were given a coat of oil and an over-coat of sand during the past weekend. The project started Friday and was completed Monday, under the direction of Earl Zille, city engineer.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Lester Goke have moved to Cochrane where he has been assigned to duty with soil conservation work.  Royce Larsen of Sheboygan has succeeded Goke here in the Clark County soil conservation office.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Garald Hart attended the wedding reception in Fairchild Saturday for Zennia Maria Harrigan and Louis J. Lato, who were married Saturday morning in Menomonee Falls. Louis is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Lato, former residents of Neillsville, and at one time in business here.

 

A Hart family reunion and picnic was held Sunday in Carson Park in Eau Claire. Those from Neillsville attending were Mr. and Mrs. Garald Hart, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bedell and children, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Burr and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hart and baby, Granton.

 

August Janke attended the Strawberry festival in Alma Center Sunday and witnessed the crowning of Miss Betty Cummings, 14, daughter of Mrs. Helen Cummings and a niece of Mr. Janke.

 

Garald Hart left Sunday for Portage where he will be stationed as flagman on road construction.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Russell Drake enjoyed a two-week vacation visiting relatives and friends, in Hudson, Hayward, La Crosse, Menomonie and Milwaukee.  Mrs. Everett Kirscher of Menomonie and a friend from St. Paul stayed at the Drake home with Mrs. Petra Erickson.
