Hahn, Lorraine Ann (14 SEP 1955)

In a 9 a.m. ceremony, Wednesday Sept. 14, 1955, in Corpus Christi Catholic Church at Bakerville, Jesse Meacham, son of Mr. Fred Meacham, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) , and Miss Lorraine Ann Hahn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Hahn, route 2, Marshfield, exchanged nuptial vows.  The Rev. G.J. Muller officiated.

The bride wore an entrained nylon tulle and Alencon type lace gown.  The fitted bodice, designed with long tapering sleeves and Mandarin collar, was attached to a bouffant skirt from which extended the lace edged court train.  Her fingertip veil of sheer illusion net and Alencon type lace was secured to a standup headpiece of rhinestones and see pearls.  She carried a cascade arrangement of American beauty rosebuds and white carnations with streamers of ivy.

Miss Ruth Marie Hahn, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Mrs. Herbert Mech, Marshfield, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Vincent Braun, Loyal, were bridesmaids.  The three bridal aides were identically dressed in gowns of baby blue made with double nylon tulle skirts over taffeta with a lace cover-up jacket over the strapless bodice, with matching headpiece and gauntlets.  Their flowers were a cascade arrangement of pink roses and blue delphiniums.

Edward Hahn, a cousin of the bride, served as best man, and Herbert Mech, an uncle of the bride, and Vincent Braun, were groomsmen.  Ross Oestreich, a nephew of the groom, and James Cross, a cousin of the bride, ushered.

Donna Oestreich, a nice of the groom, wearing a hoop skirted white taffeta frock with lace headpiece and matching gloves and carrying a basket of mixed flowers, was flower girl, and Robert Schultz, a cousin of the groom, was the ring bearer.

The bride’s mother wore a navy dress with white accessories and the groom’s mother wore a black suit and pink accessories.  Both had corsages of pink rosebuds and white carnations.

Breakfast for the bridal party was served at the home of the bride’s parents, and dinner, supper and reception, and evening luncheon given in the parish hall.

When the newlyweds return from a honeymoon trip to southern Wisconsin and Illinois they will live on route 1, Loyal.  Mr. Meacham is a graduate of the Loyal High School and is employed at the Pleasant View Dairy.  His bride is a graduate of the Marshfield High School.

Wedding guests were from Marshfield, Loyal, Chicago, Spencer and Antigo.
