Lautenbach, Shirley  (01 AUG. 1953)

 

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur H. Lautenbach, Loyal, Miss Shirley Lautenbach, Jackson, Mich., was married to Richard E. Sweeney, son of Mrs. H. A. Hayner, and Leo Sweeney, Jackson, Mich., in Immanuel Lutheran Church by the Rev. Everett Bunk at 3 p.m. on Aug. 1.

 

The bride wore a gown featuring a nylon tulle-over-taffeta skirt.. Chantilly lace bodice with pointed collar and buttons down the front. Her imported Swiss illusion veil was secured to a Chantilly lace headpiece.

 

Maid of honor, Miss Rochelle Lautenbach, sister of the bride, was attired in a green floor-length net-over-taffeta gown with lace cape and matching headpiece and carried a colonial bouquet of bronze mums and talisman roses. Pattie Thoman, Rives Junction, Mich., served as flower girl and wore a yellow gown styled similar to the maid of honor’s.

 

Vern Allen, Jackson, was best man and ushers were Richard Catlin, Rhinelander; Charles Testa, Jackson; and Richard Haynes, Michigan Center, Michigan.

 

During the services Miss Rochelle Lautenbach sang "I Love Thee" and "The Lord’s Prayer" accompanied by Mrs. Everett Bunk at the organ.

 

The bride is a graduate of the University of Colorado and the Milwaukee County Hospital School of Nursing and her husband attended Michigan State College and Jackson Junior College.

 

They will make their home at 3135 E. Michigan Ave., Jackson, when they return from a honeymoon in Northern Michigan and Wisconsin.
