Pingel, William (?–1 August 1961)

Withee folks were saddened to hear of the death of William Pingel, 69, at a hospital in Verona, August 1, cause of death being a cerebral hemorrhage.

Mr. Pingel’s body was brought to Owen, where on Friday the funeral was held with Rev. Ralph Claybaugh of the Congregational Church officiating. Burial was made near his old home in the Town of Longwood, in the Longwood Cemetery.

Mr. Pingel, a bachelor, was born in Sheboygan. Together with his parents he moved to the town of Longwood on a farm, where he continued to live after their death.

He took two terms in agricultural short courses and was also a bee man.  A few years ago he left the farm to live with a relative in Verona.

Relatives surviving are a sister, Martha Pingel of Hamilton, O.; Mrs. Mary Beckman of Thorp; and Mrs. Gilbert Hardy of Withee.
