Robert "Bobby" Geif, 75, Black River Falls, formerly of Loyal and Waterford, died on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at the Family Heritage Care Center, Black River Falls. A graveside service will be held at noon on Friday, Mach 11, at Oakwood Cemetery, Waterford.


Robert Duane Geif was born on Jan. 21, 1936, in Waterford, the son of Reuben and Hilda (nee Dexter) Geif. He was raised on the family farm and received his education in Waterford, graduating from Waterford High School in 1954. After high school, he hauled can milk in the Waterford area until 1968, and then went to work for the Carnation Company, Oconomowoc, until 1971. He then worked as a custodian at Mukwonago High School until 1977. He moved to Loyal in 1977 and farmed with his brother, Harold, until Harold’s death on Sept. 6, 2001. He also drove for Abby Van from 1995-2002. He moved to Black River Falls in 2003 and then to Pittsville in 2010, where he resided until his death.


Survivors include a brother-in-law, William Wilson, Danbury; one niece; one nephew; and other relatives and friends.


He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Willard Geif and Harold Geif; one sister, Mabel Wilson; and one nephew, Ronald Geif.
