German, Donald Roger (January 14, 1932 - February 1, 2011)

 

Donald Roger German, 79, died February 1, 2011, after battling cancer and heart disease. 

 

Donald was born January 14, 1932, to Harley and Mary (Melvin) German, Curtiss and was a 1950 graduate of Curtiss High School. 

 

He served his country in the United States Army from 1952 to 1955.

 

He was united in marriage to Hermine Rauth in Germany in September 4, 1954.

 

Donald drove truck for the Teamsters Union and then became an independent truck driver from 1971 to 1989. He continued to drive truck for other people until his retirement in 1991. 

 

Donald is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Margaret and Jeanette; brothers, Harold, Marvin and a baby brother. 

 

He is survived by his wife; children, Orville German, Roger German, Debbra (Mark) DeKarske, Valerie Patricelli and Ronald (Karla) German; brother Warren (Marydona) German, 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. 

 

Funeral serviced were held February 8, at Scalzo-Taylor Family Funeral Home, Spooner, with Pastor Arnold Enslin presiding. Interment followed at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery with military honors. Casket-bearers were Orville, Roger, Ron, Dan, Mike and Kenny German.
