Miss Donna Elaine Gregory became the bride of Thomas Roland Froeba in an 8:30 ceremony Wednesday morning, Oct. 7, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal. The Rev. Norbert E. King officiated. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Gregory, Granton and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Froeba, Loyal.

 

A floor length satin gown, styled with V-neck of net surrounded by iridescent sequins was worn by the bride. The skirt terminated in a long train. Her veil of net illusion was held by a white satin half-cap. She wore a pearl necklace and matching earrings. In her bouquet were white mums centered with a lavender orchid, and surrounded with stephanotis.

 

Miss Sharon Gregory, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. She wore a pink floor-length gown of satin and tulle, styled with a net skirt over taffeta with a matching hat of pink net.

 

The bridesmaids, wearing gowns of blue styled like th maid of honor’s, were Miss Angeline Shefchik, Loyal; Miss Marie Johannsen, Frankfort, Indiana; and Mrs. Donald Beaver, Loyal, sister of the bride. The honor attendants and aids all carried bouquets of carnations and wore pearl necklaces and earrings, gifts of the bride.

 

Miss Nancy Froeba, sister of the groom, was flower girl. She was dressed in white ruffled organdy dress over satin with a matching bouquet.

 

For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Gregory wore a black street length dress and the bridegroom’s mother wore a gray dress. Both wore black accessories and corsages of red and white carnations.

 

Paul Froeba, Beloit, was best man for his cousin. Arthur Gregory, brother of the bride, Donald Beaver and Kenneth Bauer, Loyal, cousins of the groom, were groomsmen, and Dennis Blum, Marshfield, was ring-bearer. Ushers were Sylvester Bauer, cousin of the groom and Raymond Froeba, brother of the groom, both from Loyal.

 

Music was by St. Anthony’s church choir.

 

A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride’s parents, a noon dinner at the church parlors and a reception given at the Gregory home from 3 to 5 p.m. A wedding dance was given in Colby Park Pavilion.

 

The new Mrs. Froeba is a graduate of Loyal High School and is secretary for Clarence E. Gorsegner, district attorney for Clark county.

 

The groom attended St. Anthony’s School, and is employed by Simmon’s Stock-Gro, Marshfield.

 

The newly weds returned this week from a honeymoon and are residing in the Albert Davel apartment in Loyal.

 

Guests attending the wedding were from Yorkville and Elgin, Ill., and Marshfield, Withee, Greenwood, Neillsville, Owen, Beloit, Jefferson, and Loyal.
