Decker, Donna M. (16 AUG 1958)

During a 1:30 o’clock church service Saturday afternoon, marriage vows were exchanged by Miss Donna Marie Decker, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Decker, and Robert Lee Johnson, Milwaukee, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. J.V. Johnson.

Officiating clergyman at the service, during which Miss Barbara Sommers sang "O Perfect Love" and "O Promise Me," was the Rev. Howard A. Timmerman, Lutheran minister.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length white bridal gown designed with long lace sleeves, scoop neckline and bouffant skirt.  A crown decorated with sequins held the fingertip veil.  The bridal bouquet consisted of red roses and white carnations.

Bridal aides - Miss Pat Johnson, Colby, and Miss Luce Moede, Unity, donned ballerina length frocks of lace, net and chiffon in a coral tone.  They held floral arrangements.

Dean Decker, Owen, was the best man and Lyle Johnson, Milwaukee, the groomsman.  Performing Ushering duties were Floyd Johnson and Ronald Decker.

The wedding reception and supper were held at the bride’s parents’ home and that evening a dance took place at Kolby Park, Colby.

The groom, who attended Unity High School, is employed by Allis Chalmers, Milwaukee, and his bride, a graduate of Colby High School, is an employee of Briggs and Stratton.  After a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin, the Johnsons will reside in West Allis.
