Flood, Roy (? - 29 December 1961)

 

Roy Flood, 69, of Hatfield was killed in a two-car collision, 1 ½ miles south of Hatfield on County Trunk "E" last Friday evening. Funeral services were held in Black River Falls, Monday.

 

Mr. Flood was born in Iowa, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Flood, and came when a young man to Jackson County locating on a farm 2 ½ miles south of Hatfield, where he spent the remainder of his life. He had been retired in recent years.

 

A portion of the Flood farm was sold to the La Crosse Y. M. C. A. several years ago for a summer "Y" Camp.

 

Mr. Flood is survived by an adopted son, Terry, who lives in Kenosha, a grandson, two brothers and two sisters.  The brothers are: Wilfred of Humbird, Loyal of Kenosha and the sisters are: Mrs. Leroy (Lottie) Bunce and Mrs. Oscar Teeples of Hatfield.

 

Burial was made in the Black River Falls Cemetery.
