Obuchowski, Louis (16 JUL 1881 - 3 SEP 1958)

 

Final rites for Louis Obuchowski, 77, were conducted Saturday morning at 9:30 from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home with father Dobryski of Lublin officiating.  Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers were Jim Cartwright, Wm. Kalesar, Frank Rupar, Donald Antonowitch, Ralph Kramer and John Luper.

 

The deceased was born July 16, 1881 in Poland and passed away Wednesday, Sept. 3, 1958, at the Havenet Nursing Home, Owen, after suffering a coronary attack.

 

While still a native resident of Poland he married Frances Bajcer.  She preceded him in death, passing away in 1949.  He remarried on April 28, 1952, being united in marriage to Mrs. Hattie Malinowski in a ceremony performed at Medford.  For many years he was employed by the Massey-Harris Co. of Racine, until his retirement in 1952.  He and his wife have made their home in Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) since 1954.

 

He is survived by his widow, three sons, John and Michael of Racine, and Frank of Milwaukee; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Marzolek of Jamestown, N.D., Mrs. Josephine DeRossier, Racine, Mrs. Lillian Lupar, Clair, Ill., and Mrs. Jim (Wanda) Cartwright, Mosinee; one step-daughter, Mrs. Wm. (Marie) Kalesar, Owen; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
