Baker, Anna Marie (30 APR 1890 - 17 NOV 1958)

 

Anna Marie, the beloved wife of Gilbert Jerome Baker, passed away unexpectedly following a brief illness of about two days, shortly after midnight, early Monday, Nov. 17, 1958, at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire.  Her age was 68 years, 6 months and 17 days.

 

Her body will lie in state at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home until noon Thursday, Nov. 20, when it will be taken to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Withee, for services to be conducted by Pastor Theodore C. Predoehl at 2:00 p.m.  His sermon text will be Psalm 27:1, "The Lord is my Light and my Salvation, whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?"  Mrs. Edmund Lentz will sing the hymns "Asleep in Jesus" and "My Faith Looks Up to Thee," accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Herman Rabska of Withee.  Pallbearers will be Messrs. Arthur Schwenke, Reinhold Buss, Charles C. Meier, John Semple, Merlin Bushnell, and Leon Bruchert.  Flower ladies are Mrs. Arthur Schwenke, Mrs. Gust Braun and Mrs. Reinhold Buss.

 

The burial will take place in a Minneapolis Cemetery Friday following another short service at the Burchess Mortuary, located at 13th St. and University Avenue, Northeast, in Minneapolis, Nov. 21 at 10:00 a.m.

 

The deceased leaves to mourn, her sorrowing husband, G.F. Baker, and his children: Norman J. Baker, McAllen, Texas; Mrs. Marguerite Palay, Anaheim, Calif.; Mrs. Jean LaBelle, Eau Claire; five grandchildren; two brothers, Paul and Herbert Tetzman, Minneapolis, Minn., and one sister, Mrs. Mena Anderson, Olympia, Wash.
