Larson, Arlene Veronica (Marriage - 3 February 1962)

Our Lady of Peace church in Marshfield was the scene last Saturday morning of the wedding of Arlen Veronica Larson, daughter of Mrs. Rose Rogers of Marshfield, to Jon Samuel Voight, son of Mr. and Mrs. Percy Voight of Loyal.  The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Fr. Peuchi.

The bride was given in marriage by Frank Schwabe of Chicago, an uncle. She wore a floor length wedding gown of Alencon lace over taffeta with a Sabrina neckline and fingertip sleeves, and an elbow-length veil. She carried white carnations, red roses and stephanotis.

Mrs. Connie Voight of Wausau, a sister-in-law, and Miss Jean Strachota of Stratford, a cousin, were bridesmaids.

Attending the groom as bestman was Joe Voight of Wausau.  Ushers were Michael Mack of Loyal and Jackie Rogers of Marshfield. Shawn Mack of Loyal, a nephew of the groom, was the ringbearer, and Miss Cindy Buresk of Edgar a cousin of the bride, was dressed as a miniature bride.

Music for the high mass was sung by the girl’s choir of Our Lady of Peace church.

A dinner was served following the ceremony in the church chapel, and a reception and supper were held at the home of the bride’s mother.

Following a wedding trip to the southern part of the state, the young couple will be at home at 517 ½ South 5th Avenue, Wausau, where the groom is employed as an apprentice plumber. The bride is a graduate of Marshfield High School, and the groom of Loyal High School.
