Hansen, Mrs. H.P. (23 JUN 1883 - 7 JAN 1959)

Funeral services were conducted from the Nazareth Lutheran Church at Withee for Mrs. H.P. Hansen, 75, Saturday, Jan. 10th.  The Rev. W. Clayton Nielsen, pastor of the parish, officiated at the final rites.  Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers were Sam Andersen, Jens Andersen, Evald Ammentorp, Emil H. Hansen, Emil A. Hansen and Tony Jensen.  Serving as honorary pallbearers were Carl Andreasen, Charles Andersen, Jens A. Jensen, Alfred Frost and Chris Frost.

Mrs. Hansen passed away January 7th, 1959 at Luther Hospital at Eau Claire, where she had been admitted the day previous after suffering a heart condition.

The deceased was born June 23, 1883, at Hinkley, Minn.  On July 201905, she was united in marriage with the late Hans Peter Hansen in a ceremony performed at Withee.  He preceded her in death, having passed away in 1941.  Mrs. Hansen was one of the few remaining pioneer residents of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), having lived there for 63 years.  However, her late years were limited as far as her scope of activities were concerned, as for 40 years she had been a victim of arthritis.  Nevertheless she took part in the affairs of Danish Ladies Aid and the Lutheran Guild, as well as being an active member in the Friendly Homemakers Club.

Her passing is mourned by a son, Emil C. Hansen of Owossa, Mich.; two daughters, Louis of Withee, and Mrs. High (Edna) Gwen of of New Richmond, Wis.; a sister, Mrs. V.A. Hansen of Withee and one brother, Rev. Chris Stockholm of Portland, Maine.

In addition to her husband, five sisters and a brother preceded her in death.
