Seitz, Allan W. (11 MAR 1936 - 16 APR 2011)


SPENCER -- Allan W. Seitz, 75, of Spencer, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011, at The House of the Dove in Marshfield under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice.


Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer. The Rev. David DePaoli will officiate. Burial will follow in West Spencer Cemetery in the town of Sherman, Clark County.


Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at Life Tributes Funeral Home in Spencer and Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service. Acting as his pallbearers will be Bryce Thalacker, Aaron Seitz, Adam Seitz, Tanner Unertl, Robin Kobs, Bart Unertl and Ron Thalacker. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim and Nancy Karau, Ron and Dianne Braun, Margaret Hastings, Orville and Wanda Schwarze, Bob and Dorla Hinrichsen, Duane and Marilyn Kortbein and Eileen Dallmann and Larry.


Allan was born March 11, 1936, in Spencer, son of George and Amanda (Krueger) Seitz. Allan married the former Marion Kobs on June 8, 1957, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer. He was employed for 42 years as an accountant at the former Roddis Co., which later became Weyerhaeuser Company. From 1958 to 1960, he served his country in the U.S. Army.


Allan was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, a former president of Trinity Lutheran Church Council, held various offices within Trinity Lutheran Church. Other organizations he was involved in included the Spencer Jaycees, Spencer Lions Club, and a former member of the Spencer Village Board and Spencer School Board. His hobbies included fishing and hunting, bowling and playing cards with friends.


Survivors include his wife, Marion Seitz, of Spencer; three children, Mike (LeeAnn) Seitz of Mosinee, Candy (Ron) Thalacker of Ocala, Fla., and Kris (Bart) Unertl of Mosinee; five grandchildren, Taylor and Bryce Thalacker of Ocala, Fla., Aaron and Adam Seitz of Mosinee, and Tanner Unertl of Mosinee. Allan is further survived by a sister, Shirley (Mike) Conroy of Carson City, Nev.; along with other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.


He was preceded in death by his parents.
