The church choir of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen, sang the nuptial High Mass at the wedding fo Miss Carla Annette Hutchinson and Kenneth Vencle Kaucnik Saturday, June 18, 1960, when they were married before the Rev. H.L. Crubel during a 9:30 a.m. ceremony.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hutchinson of Tacoma, Wash. are the bride’s parents.  Mr. Hutchinson gave his daughter in marriage.  The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Vencle Kaucnik of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.).

 

Miss Hutchinson chose for her wedding a dress of lace over satin in floor length, designed with long sleeves and a sweetheart neckline.  A white lace headpiece held her fingertip length veil and she carried a floral arrangement of white and pink roses.

 

Miss Sue Kaucnik of Owen, in her role as maid of honor, wore a pale blue lace over taffeta ballerina length dress with a bateau neckline.  Mrs. Charles Kaucnik, Waukegan, Ill., was bridesmaid and was dressed as the maid of honor.  They carried pink and white carnation bouquets.

 

Leon Kaucnik attended the wedding as best man with Charles Kaucnik, groomsman.  Both the attendants are from Waukegan, Ill.

 

A dinner was served at 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon at the church hall.  A reception in the hall followed the dinner, and a dance was held in the evening at Dorchester Memorial Hall.

 

Mrs. Kaucnik is a graduate of Tacoma High School and was employed by Potter Co., Chicago, Ill.  Her husband graduated from the Owen-Withee High School and works at Waukegan Glass Co.

 

Waukegan, Ill. will be their home town when they return from a wedding trip to Yellowstone National Park.
