Creg, Janice (29 OCT 1960)

On Saturday, Oct. 29, 1960 at 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon, Janice Creg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Creg, City (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), was escorted down the aisle by her father and given in marriage to Jerald Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jens Miller, Owen.

They exchanged vows in a double ring ceremony, with the Rev. Claybaugh of the First Congregational Church, Owen, officiating before an altar decorated with white gladiolus and pink carnations.

For her wedding the bride wore a bridal gown of bouquet taffeta, appliqued with pearl and sequin embroidered Alencon lace, with Sabina neckline and very full chapel train with back bow.  Her bridal veil of silk illusion in fingertip length, was secured to a queens crown with pearls and sequins.  She carried a cascade of white orchids and stephanotis.

As her attendants, the bride chose her friends, Mrs. Eugene (Shirley) Pawlak, Cudahy, as matron of honor, and Mrs. Gerald (Carla) Dahl, Milwaukee, as bridesmaid.  They wore identical waltz length gowns of blue lace with matching bandeaus trimmed with pearls and net veils.  Each carried colonial bouquets of pink and white carnations.

Jeff Miller served his brother as best man and Gerald Dahl of Milwaukee served as groomsman.  The gentlemen all wore black tuxedos.  Performing the duties as ushers were Edward Sluzewski and Don Hamel, brother of Milwaukee.

Reception and dinner followed the ceremony at the Meadowview Country Club with more than 200 guests present.

Mr. and Mrs. Miller are both graduates of the Owen High School and are presently employed in Milwaukee.

Guests attended from Minneapolis, Cudahy, Milwaukee, Greenwood, Medford, Antigo, Withee, Curtiss and Owen.
