Dignin, Mr. & Mrs. Jerome (Silver - 30 APR 1941)

Sixty-two relatives and friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Dignin last Sunday to help them celebrate their Silver wedding.  The anniversary fell on April 30th, 1941, but the observance was held Sunday, so that all relatives might attend.  A purse of silver in commemoration of twenty-five years of happy wedded life was presented to the bride and groom, after which a bountiful lunch was served.  Guests present from away were: Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Tubbs and Wilma, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Creviston and family, Mr. and Mrs. Harley Alvestad, Eau Claire; Mrs. Nate Hand, Max Sloan, Anne Jacobs, Ladysmith; Miss Theo Dignin, Mrs. Belle Blom and son, Gilman; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Holt, Hib, Krombolz, Leona Sleeter, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. T. P. Dahl and daughter, Fairchild; Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Barkley and son, Mr. and Mrs. Cullen Dignin and children, Miss Rogene Olson, Black River Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Duerkop, Miss Charlotte Lee, Alma Center.

Robert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dignin, enlisted in the navy and could not be present for this happy event.  He is just completing mechanics training at Dearborn, Mich., and the party rejoiced that he has received a promotion and a machinist’s mate stripe.

All relatives and friend join in wishing Mr. and Mrs. Dignin many more happy anniversaries.
